WebI've used acetone, break cleaner, and Citristrip to remove spray paint from guns. I don't use acetone or break cleaner anymore. They work, they're just very harsh and seem to require more scrubbing. I can strip a gun down, slather it in Citristrip, then put it in a trash bag for about an hour and 90% of the paint will wipe right off with a rag. Wipe down floor with rags/swiffer/paper towels/etc to “rinse” floors and remove excess stripper and mineral spirits. Let dry. Rub Boiled Linseed oil into the floor with a clean rag, massaging oil into the floorboards.
